Identifying barrel maker Brazine?

I have a light bench gun with a 45 cal 1 1/8 inch barrel.  I was told that the barrel was make by Brazine but I'm not sure of the spelling.  I would like to look up more info. on the barrel but need help with the spelling of the name.  Probably active in the 1960's -1970's that is about when the rifle was made.  Thanks steg49

 I think Briesen might be a closer spelling.

I was half recalling a Ken Briesen as a maker of rifle barrels.  I then found a 2010 posting on a bulletin board for another type of shooting that indicated that he is/was from Western New York.  The same post mentioned him attending matches at Friendship.

Briesen barrels were very popular with bench gun shooters.  You probably have a keeper.  Does it havea false muzzle?

No false muzzle, it was made as a cross stick buffalo rifle or at least that what I used it for.  Made here in California by William Cowgill who shot a lot at the Calif. State Muzzleloading Championships when it was held in Fresno.  Nice rifle, it will punch the 10 ring out when I'm not messing up.  steg49

My Bresien cross stick rifle had a false muzzle.  Surprised yours does not

Most likely the makes choice, the barrel is not drill for the false muzzle. steg49

Steg49 good to hear another left coast shooter. I live in Lake County. Currently surrounded by fire, but not burned out yet. I hope you aren’t in one of the state hot spots.

Hungry Horse, glad your not burned out.  It came close here in Grass Valley but they controlled the fire at 700 acres.  I've been into BP shooting for 40+ years and still loving it. Keep your powder dry and out of the flames.  steg49

Ken Bresein was from Warsaw NY and made fine barrels foe muzzle loaders and
single shot Schuetzen rifles.I visited him in 1987 and ordered a 38 caliber bullet barrel and traded
a custom  Schuetzen rifle lock and trigger for it.It was a bolster breech and false muzzle light rifle
barrel.I did make a rifle and it shot well but sold it like all the rest I once had.
Ken Bresein is now deceased for several years.
