Weeks ago I made several posts concerning fitting a 3/4-10 bolt to a .50 caliber barrel blank. Assorted "things and stuff" took me away from this project but I'm back with more questions.
I understand from the help I've received so far that that the face of the plug should show contact with the Permatex brushed on to the shoulder of the tapped hole. From the photo I've attached, is there enough transfer of Permatex on the face of the bolt? Btw, the plug was tightened with a cresent wrench while being held in the vice so it may be that I need to secure the barrel better and use a torque wrench and proper socket.
