Jim Chambers Mark Silver rifle.

Gents,

Took a few photos today of this rifle I put together a Long time ago.  It was sometime in the 1990's.
I'd just tried that snow-man  target, so took a few of rifle as well.  (lousy shooting, as I never shoot offhand!)

Missed a shot of the wooden patchbox, and no overall shots, just a few random ones of a rustic rifle.

Richard.

That's a beauty! :)
P.S. I'd take that offhand shooting anyday! ;D

Thanks all, and pleased you like it.
It was made when I was rather new at the job, hardly knew what I was doing with a Longrifle.  About wore Jim's ear out asking questions!
Will take the odd overall photo sometime.It Has taken quite a pile of deer over the years. I used this rifle and nothing else for 9 or 10 years straight. It always worked. V reliable lock!
Finish is wearing out, so might re-do with aquafortis sometime..

Wattlebuster,

I Used to keep track, but think I got slack on that.

This is how I tallied deer;

Richard:  thanks for showing us your rifle.  You did a nice job on it.  Mine was in much worse shape before I refinished it.  But I'm happy I made the plunge.  And yours has proven itself as a hunting rifle too, far ahead of mine.  Nicely done lad.

I love looking at rifles like yours. They have earned their patina in the field. Used but well taken care of. There are memories to go along with the dents and dings.  Never thought of keeping a tally on my ball block, but I like the idea.
