What are your thoughts?
« on: December 31, 2020, 12:26:13 AM »
My son's co-worker came up with this from and auction. Have not seen it in person,  he sent some photos.
Its somewhat out of my wheelhouse so to speak.

It's a very cool old horse pistol.  Neat find.

I have not gotten to see it but the owner was told it was Turkish.

Dan,
We need to see the butt-cap finial if possible.
Looks Ottoman, but the butt-cap is the give away usually.
One note;
Often Turkish/ottoman have  a false ramrod that can't be removed. this has a real one , and a shorter muzzle-cap than some.

Reminds me of an old Turkish pistol I have.  On mine they mimicked a lot of Germanic styling in the lock and mounts.
