RE Davis RPL triggers

   I have a replacement trigger for my Lyman from RE Davis the problem is that in order to set the front trigger I have to pull back really hard what can be done to fix this problem.

Loosen the mainspring screw a little.

  I baked off the mainspring screw a little turn to the left, it worked for me.

A double set trigger with a too strong rear spring can possibly break a half cock position
off the tumbler if the trigger is set off with the lock at half cock

Also, for an easier set, the rear trigger should be pinned higher than the front.  Design is everything.
