German Jaeger Rifles

Does anyone know of a listing of 17th-18th century jaeger rifle makers in Germany? I am trying to determine if their is a connection of family members that were gunsmiths in colonial America. Thanks in advance.

Der Neue Stockel by Eugene Heer, Herausgeber: Journal-Verlag Schwenn GmbH Schwäbisch Hall 1982 vol 3 has lists of European and American gun makers organized by location. It is written in German. You will find some connections.

That was my first thought. Its time consuming to translate, but its a great resource. There is the German Gun Collectors Association ( http://www.germanhuntingguns.com/about-the-makers/ ).
