Small Flat Primer/Bag/Pocket Horn

It is about 8 1/2" in length 2 1/2 of that being tip, collar and filler plug. The butt is Walnut covered with Tin, held by Six Iron nails and the plug is Maple threaded 1"-6. The tip is Whitetail Antler and is threaded 5/8"-11 the collar is horn and held in place by the tip. There are Eight panels scraped on it, the color is from a mix of some old dye baths.

I sure like that one Tim. I like the tin cover and the fill hole on the butt. Nice job on that little jewel.
Kind Regards

As an after thought: The piece of antler I started with was not thick enough to turn a complete ball so I left a spot on it natural. This Pic shows it better. I have seen old horns that had been done the same way. Kind of like a natural edge bowl.

Some things are just so perfect to not need any further words. This is one of them.

That’s such a cute little feller, he’d be right at home in a nice rustic squirrel bag. Nice one, Tim!
