Hi Guys! In GUNS magazine july 1978 is a artikel Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle, see how thay make the hooked breech, if thay can we can ;)

Are you planning on brazing those together?

A one piece plug in a lathe would be easier and better.

One piece is the only way I ever made one was one piece and used
a lathe and my milling machine.Same way when I made some in
Bill Large's shop.That picture makes no sense to me.

On a production basis, is could speed things up by eliminating the need to time the breech plug.  They could wrench the stub into  the barrel.  Add some flux and braze to the cavity.  Clamp the hooked breech shell in place.  Run argon down the bore.   Then heat it with an induction coil.  If you had all the parts and tools it would be faster than hand fitting a plug.

I'm thinking that Runastav is such a creative fabricator that we will find out shortly what and why he is going this route.
