Knowledgeable input request
« on: February 25, 2021, 04:00:19 PM »
I have been asked to build a reproduction of an iconic Rev war rifle for fund raising.   Actually there will be two rifles offered, we have already settled on a copy of the Geo. Washington Beck rifle.  I am looking for suggestions of a well documented rifle from the Rev War period with a brass box, since the Washington Beck rifle has a wooden box I would like to mix it up a bit.  I would appreciate you input relating to rifles that fit the above criterial.

Thanks much
Ron

Here is a nice one. I built a copy and it is my favorite gun.

Colonel Bower carried this gun throughout the AWI.
As in life; it’s the journey, not the destination. How you get there matters most.

I would also consider either of the known Oerter rifles that have Rev war provenance....The Coykendall or the  Hankinson.

That one is a real hoss of a gun and doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
