A Little Different Horn

 Rather long but slender horn, it is right at 16" around the outside curve and about 13 1/2 tip-to-tip. The horn body itself is only 10" so the rest is tip and butt. The 2 3/8ths butt is Apple wood tapped 1/2-8, it is held by 3 iron pins, 3 more hold the band in place. The finial is Walnut, threaded for the butt.
 The tip is horn, it is 3 1/2" long and tapped 5/8-11 to screw onto the horn. I may end up pinning it not sure we need a screw in finial and tip. Color is a light Brown dye, the horn was boiled in it, then coated with Brown shoe polish and buffed.

Very nice Tim. Looks great I really like the base plug very unique.  I have a similar horn in my shop I was going to try my hand at one of them curled horn snuff containers. But don’t know.
