Looks really great, Jim.  So, now that you have all that practice on that one, I will let you finish mine for me.  The parts are pretty much all the same as yours, except that I have cleaned up and polished all the cast brass pieces.  Maybe you can get it done in 2-3 days.  I'll furnish all the food and coffee.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I had fun building this but I am ready to take a break and get back to my beloved Kentucky rifles . Next in the line up is a Isaac Haines style rifle in 32 caliber. This will be a challenge to get the architecture right but I have a nice swamped by FCI barrels so I think I will be able to pull it off.  Now I get to get the shipping box made to send the Jaeger off to it's new home.

Ed I mix up the finish that I use on my guns. It’s a 50/50 mix of boiled linseed oil and amber colored shellac with some natural burnt umber pigment mixed in. I rub it in by hand in very thin coats.
