Earlier in the year there was a thread , in gun building, about barrel breeching.There was a lot of good information on the subject.  I would like to thank every one that posted on the thread, especially Dan Phariss  for for the pictures and explanation of the process.  I just finished successfully breeching a barrel with the help of the info in that thread. thanks again everyone.

It's a good feeling knowing it's been done right.  Lots of folks don't know or don't bother to find out if their barrel is breeched properly.  Now you're an expert and can pass it on!  That's how it works around here.

  I'm with Taylor.  Let the guard cover what it can, and lay a skid pan into the belly.  Very common period repair.
