Dying Leather
« on: June 03, 2021, 01:56:25 PM »
I’ve got a pouch I just made and wonder what dyes and techniques y’all use to dye the leather. Gotta be an easier method than a bottle of dye and applicator like I’ve used in the past.

drop down a little ways in this section.  The dye and patinas in Every Man A Cobbler were taught to me by some excellent craftsmen.

Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for. I thought I looked through the posts but I guess I missed that one.

I suggest T.C. Albert’s book Recreating The Eighteenth Century Hunting Pouch and also Ken Scott’s video Recreating the Kentucky Rifle Pouch dvd for some additional dying/ aging techniques.
