I'd suggest that the guys that are going to bid on that rifle won't pay an ounce of attention to the description. 
As the instigator of this thread, I would like to offer this.
John is correct, given the relatively high estimates on this rifle, I would imagine that only advanced collectors will bid on it. They will have read Moller's detailed description in his book about the restoration to the forestock. To RIA's credit, they did include pages from Moller's book and state in their description that the rifle is a recon. I also believe that they should have also included RCA Vol I as a reference so a potential bidder can have a fuller appreciation of the rifle before restoration.
On the other hand, their use of the descriptor "Documented" is unfortunate in many ways and disappointing. As brought out before in this thread, the proper term would have been "Published".
