Tansel style horn

Finished this one up today. It’s a Tansel style horn 13 inches along the outside curve. The base is maple and hollowed out , and it has a diameter of 2 1/8 inches. The tip it horn and is applied.  The base plug has a pewter finial for strap attachment   Now to take some time and engrave it. And some other pieces I made.

I think it's a solid foundation in which to finish on. The horn has nice figure which should look nice with a light dye added on it plus a decent area to add some scrimshaw. I'm interested in seeing the final product.

It’s beautiful as it is, but I’m betting it’ll really come to life with engraving and finish. Great horn!
