barrel rib removal

I realize this isn't about a custom rifle, but my son's t/c renegade has loose thimbles. I can't figure out how the thimbles are fastened.
I tried removing the rib and couldn't even do that! I removed the screws on the far ends of the rib but whatever is holding the thimbles to the rib apparently goes all the way through to the barrel.
Any suggestions?

I think T/C fastens their thimbles to the rib/barrel with an allen screw accessed along the bottom of the pipe. If you take the two screws out that hold the thimbles, the rib should come off, having removed the other screws that are obvious.
