Great weather great shoot!!
« on: November 09, 2009, 06:31:39 PM »
I must remark about this past weekend.  Weather perfect - shot at Blue Mt ML club Saturday turkey shoot brought home 3 of them.  (turkeys that is)

Our shoot at First Frontier was yesterday - Ham and wine shoot - lugged home 'some'hams and 'some' jugs of top shelf Concord wine - am I set for the winter or what.? 26 shooters - 62 degrees - calm - shot smoothbore, offhand rifle, chunk, 15 shot novelty agg.  days like that blot out the bad ones.  Life is good! ;D

Next Sunday shoot Langhorne, Pa turkey shoot! Whew! :o

Here are  guys talking about great weather and we are still "Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season".

Got one outside the door right now........two weeks before Thanksgiving; there outa be a law that you can't have a hurricane during hunting season.

Good shooting.
I love going to matches on days when everything works well.
Last time I did really well they changed the rules next day.
Not the first time I have experienced such a thing.

HA! - one of the last turkey shoots Taylor and I attended at a club in Burnaby, B.C., one of the 'regulars' was trying to get our muzzleloaders disqualified. He claimed they took too long to load and held everything up, where the truth was he couldn't compete against them, and him shooting his .222 Match rifle with 12X Unertel scope.  What a blast - offhand accuracy demands practise shooting offhand, which is about all we ever did, back then. Seems like a lifetime ago.
