On the piece of paper, I am seeing 50, horizontal slash, and beneath in print, 100, and then Dollars.  That says to me 50/100 dollars, not 50 dollars, but 50 cents.  The number of dollars are lost in the deterioration of the paper.  Very nice rifle.
