Large Horn
« on: October 01, 2021, 09:23:44 PM »
 This is a long slender horn, it looked so good I hated to cut it down so at 20" around the outside curve here it is. Tip-to-tip it is 13 1/2", the Maple butt is  2 1/2", held in by the same 3 Iron pins that hold the base band in place. It is tapped 1/2-8 for the finial which is also Maple. The tip is horn as are the two tings. The one on the tip is pinned, the lower one is held in place by the tip which is threaded to the horn. It is not intended to be used as a screw tip it was done that way for ease of construction.

Oh be still my beating heart! So glad you didn't cut it down. It is perfect, as usual with your horns.

Tim, your description is way off, you forgot to mention 'sexy'.  Well done young man.

Tim::  SUPERB!

What did you use for the color.

Where I used to live in OK, there were a pair of Longhorn bulls, with really wide spreads, closing on about 8', tip to tip.  And a standing order with their owner for one horn.  Doggone critters live too long tho!
