Snuff/'Bacca box...???

 It is about 3 1/2 X 2 3/4 X 1 1/4s". The top and bottom are covered with Pewter, the top has Seven nails holding it the bottom five. The door is held to the hinge by four Steel screws that have been peened over. The bands are held by steel Pins. Had trouble figuring out a latch but the turn screw works well.

That's fantastic!  I saw a collection of snuff boxes at the CLA and found them fascinating for the sheer variety.  If you ever make any small horn boxes/containers for caps, patches, etc. I'll be putting in an order.

 I saw that display, wasn't it Great and have been trying to figure out what they are made of, kind of horn, and how to do one ever since. I felt pretty good when the fellow who had the display, Wes something bought one of mine I had on the table.
 If you've got and idea/Pic of what you'd like to have send it to me and I'll see what I can do.
