Small Horn Redone
« on: December 20, 2021, 08:08:12 PM »
This horn started out very plain straight tip, Pine butt, it did have the staple, about 8" long. I decided to dress it up a bit, the butt was tapped 1/2-8 for the little plug. An Antler tips was turned and pinned on with 3 Steel pins and the 3 bands were added, each held by 3 more pins each.
The idea for the staple was a pocket/bag horn that had a strap attached so it could be used and dropped without fumbling around trying to get it back in place while making a follow-up shot.

I like it, repurposing an item by making it better is always a fine way to go, and having a story to go along with it is even better.

Very neat details.  The finish looks like an old horn.  Nicely done buddy.
