Schuetzen nipple

has anyone seen this type of nipple or know the thread pitch? It's brass and has the number 15 stamped on the flat. The threads are tapered. Is/was this a standard size nipple. I held my largest modern steel nipple against the hole and it just dropped in. Anyone know how they were made?

Joe Kost of Lancaster ohio made ampco Berylium and they were sold by many dealers. The number stamped on them inicated that it was an oversize thread and the oversize in thousandths.
