Horn With Two Bands

This one is about 12" around the outside curve and 9 1/2 tip-to-tip. The butt is Walnut and is about 2" wide, it's held in by 3 steel pins. The tip is two pieces of antler pinned together with 3 wooden pegs and to the horn with 3 more. The bands were heated and pressed on and are held in place by 3 steel pins each. It has a scraped finish, color is Saddle Tan oil based leather dye rubbed back with 0000 SW then Brown shoe polish and buffed out.

What isn't there to love about this horn. Just the kind I like. Someone is going to have a horn to be proud of.

That horn yells, "Crosby Banded", which is a very good thing. Love the lines and color.
