Adjustable powder measure
« on: February 09, 2022, 05:04:07 AM »
I was planning to make an adjustable powder measure using some of the extra elk antler I had when I saw this old measure on an antique dealer's website in England and decided to copy it as best I could.

Here is what I got done today and will probably call it finished. I sized the length of the tube so that the low end is 80 grains and fully open it is 120 grains. Should serve nicely for most of my guns.

Very classy Dennis.  It has style elements that remind me of David Crisalli.  And that is a compliment.   :-)   Two thumbs up.  God Bless,   Marc

Thanks to all for the positive feedback.
Keith-probably a number of ways a tether could be attached but I wanted a bag measure.
JBJ-yes, ebony but the original is most likely rosewood. I had ebony so that is what got used.
