Edward North of London?
« on: March 13, 2022, 09:30:24 PM »
I'm trying to find info on Edward North or his fowler as pictured in            "of  Sorts For Provincials" (pgs. 90-94)
It's a great looking fowler and would make a great turkey hunting gun.
I haven't been able to turn up anything beyond the silm information in the book.

Kevin,
"Early Firearms of Great Britain & Ireland" (Metropolitan Museum of Art) cites that Edward North was admitted freeman of the Gunmakers Company in 1729 and master in 1753. He worked in London "about" 1750-60."
