How do I change my User Name.???

I'm new to this forum and somehow got mixed up and my email address got made into my user name......Obviously I do not want it that way, so how do I change it...Not real good with computers....Thanks

The easiest way is to click on "Profile"  (located on same line as "Home") and look for:
"Name
This is the displayed name that people will see:" overwrite your email user ename with whatever you want people to see.

Your username will stay the same but it will no longer display on your posts, whatever you used to overwrite will now display on the screen.

I went to Profile and tried to delete my user name but it wouldn't let me.   Like I said not good with computers  I highlighted my user name in blue but it would not delete.

Maybe you will have to close your account, if you are able to and open another one.

Note Dennis said overwrite and you said you tried to delete.  Maybe that is the problem.  Try overwriting.

Dave,  How do I overwrite....I tried to put the curser at the first letter of my user name and it won't let me..I can make it blue and tried to start another name and it won't let me...I am confused

Place your cursor at the END of your username.  Now hit backspace as many times as required to erase your current username.  Now type your new one in.  Then go to the bottom of the page and save it.

I tried that but it won't even let me put the cursor there....getting frustrated.

You are trying to change the username, you need to change the one below it the field with the caption shown below:
"Name
This is the displayed name that people will see"

And don't forget to click "change profile" when done.

No need to delete your account! You lose your posts and have to go through all the registration mess again.

Failed to tell him that once in his profile he needs to click on account setting to change his screen name.
