Hawkeye, I use epoxy. The bristles are first bound at the base with thread. After binding, I measure the diameter of the bundle and drill the appropriate size hole and epoxy the bundle in. For the vent pick I use epoxy as well. I grind/file several rings in the pick to help the epoxy hold before epoxying it in.
