I seem to recall Tim Albert had a post on the old forums about Boone's hunting pouch being on ebay for 1/2 mill.  anyone copy the photo's from ebay on this?  If so I'd like to see them please.

I remember seeing the bag & horn outfit... I think they were asking 110,000 if I recall, but it's been a number of years. The horn was scrimshawed, a little on the primitive side but interesting. The bag was rather large, with smooth and dark brown age-polished leather.  Decent outfit. I e-mailed the man who posted it and asked about the Boone provenance, and he didn't know but referred me to someone else, Never saved the pics. But I recall thinking that the horn looked slightly Carolina-ish in spout and plug, think it had a bone tip if I recall correctly, and the outfit looked like it had the age and possibility of being of Boone's Missouri era 1800-1820. There is a supposed Daniel Boone hunting bag and horn on display in the nature museum at Grandfather Mountain in Linville, NC. (The bag looks like macrame.) I asked about the provenance about the items and the folks on duty did not know what I meant. Rick
