The top horn is about 14" around the outside curve and 10 1/2 tip-to-tip. The Walnut butt is hollowed out about 3/4s its length, it is 2 1/4" in diameter and held by 4 wooden pegs. The Tip is of two parts Whitetail antler pinned together with 3 wooden pegs and to the horn with 3 more. The bands were heated and pressed on and are held with 3 iron pins each.
The other is 15" around the outside curve and 11 1/2 tip-to-tip. Walnut butt, held with 4 pegs, it is about 2 1/2" in diameter and held by 4 pegs. Tip and bands are the same as above.
The color is the natural color of the horns and buffed with paste wax. The bands were dyed in boiling water and pressed on.
These horns are from a Highlander killed by a Kodiak Brown Bear and are headed back that way.
