Question about iron nitrate
« on: August 26, 2022, 02:37:08 AM »
I have begun applying iron nitrate in small areas at a time. My question. When blushing there are marks where I overlapped the application. What is the best process to blend these? I have never worked with iron nitrate and find it amazing. I want the best finish possible given my skill level (very much a novice).

Apply the iron nitrate to the entire stock and then blush w/ heat.  It should be more even that way.

I would not be too concerned about that. Most important is don’t miss any spots.
If this really bothers you, re-apply connecting the two affected spots with a damp (not soaked) brush, rag, or dauber. Allow to dry and then re-blush. You’re going to be okay 👍. Kevin and I are pretty much on the same page.
Please tell us how this goes!!!
