We had in this area,Kenova WVa a fine long rifle maker whose name was Glen (Fireball) Napier and he made several copies of an Eister
rifle very similar to this one for a local coal millionaire.The coal baron had him use my locks which he insisted on.The gunmaker thought they were too expensive and said they're too fancy inside
. He was one of the many modern makers of repro long rifles that thought the lock had to be the cheapest thing on the gun.That's a beautiful rifle shown here and the Eister name revived this old memory from long,long ago.
