No bayonet.

 I built it as a gift for a friend.  He has no interest in the bayonet.  He wants it as a hiking and hunting rifle.   It turns out that ITX balls of appropriate size are apparently available for 62 caliber (0.601").  With  50 and 54 is is tough to get a patch thin enough to make an easily loadable combo.  We fill find out how it works soon.

I agree that the .019" difference in size for the .62 is MUCH better than the .smaller sizes.
IIRC, there wasn't even .010" difference in the .50's.
