Charlie Brown bag
« on: October 29, 2022, 07:53:11 PM »
I had my good friend Charlie Brown create a "Long Hunter" bag for me for my Don Bruton .54 caliber rifle. I asked it to be larger than a normal period correct "shooting" bag as I will use this bag set as my primary hunting bag. Out here in the Pacific N.W. I might be in everything from short sleeves to deep snow to pouring down rain and hunt anything from spring bear to black tail deer to late season elk. The accompanying horn and primer are by Tim Crosby. It measures 9 inches wide by 10 1/2 inches deep and has a gusset. I wanted one large enough to hold everything I will need including some jerky and trail mix as I often am out from pre dawn to dark. It has a button closure and a hand forged buckle.

Good looking set there, it displays a lot of talent.
However, the foot is another story.  Looks like it needs some help.
Still planning on getting over your way, probably next year, late spring or early summer.  I will let you know when I will be there.  I have a cousin in Gales Creek that is not getting any younger and it's been a couple of years since I was there.

Bigsmoke: If you drive bring your rifle. We can go to several places and do a little shooting together. Gales Creek is only 45 minutes away.
