Collectors may be interested to know that what is reported to be a signed D. Shell longrifle is to be auctioned off here in the town of Dauphin, Dauphin Co. PA on Saturday, Nov. 7. I have not seen the rifle. However, it is reportedly a full stock flint, signed, with patchbox. I have been told that a small piece of trigger guard needs some work, there may be a thimble at the rear that needs help, and that it needs a ramrod.
