It took me a little time to find this pistol loading stand. I knew it was in my house somewhere. I have had this for a number of years. I have little to no information. Don't know where I got it. Don't remember when I picked it up. I think I remember I was told it was made in the 1950's. I really never agreed with that, and could not verified. But I do say life is fun when you are in your 82nd year of this life. Everyday will present fun things and challenges. I liked the homey appearance, and I plan to finish the pistol when I get around to it. Well maybe. Y"ll have to admit the Stand is a looker. "O" the jag on the ram rod is 9.16 MM  (.356). AJ. P.S. I forgot to mention the cut out for the flintlock.

That is a dandy pistol stand appearing to have excellent support for the grip.

What is the brass shepherds hook for, If loading it can't be in the bore for support?

45-110. Good morning Sir; My only answer is, shepherds hook, to safely keep pistol in place when not in use, or transporting to the range and back, After loading, while waiting for firing line ready call to be issued. I guess I don't have a definitive answer. Hoping your week end is going well. AJ.

I expect the hook is moveable, sliding up and down for removal/insertion and different barrel lengths.

Daryl. The function of the Shepards hook is correct. AJ.
