I have been blessed to call friend some extraordinary men in the nearly 50 years I’ve lived in Alaska and Vic was one of those.
He started meeting me at the range in June while I was working with muzzleloaders. Although he had never had any contact with them he was interested, especially in the accessories I was making. I wasn’t able to contact him in early September to arrange a meeting and found that he had died. He was a world renowned moose biologist and a passionate fall turkey-stalking hunter in New York every fall for much of his life.
Moose and turkey hunting were his life’s passions.
I got the first side of the flask engraved today and a moose will go on the other side.
