New video - Woodsrunner series, stock sanding and scraping
« on: April 03, 2023, 05:03:42 PM »

This is a big video.  It covers stock prep prior to finishing.  Both sanding and scraping near the end.  Any questions, let me know.

Many thanks for this excellent instruction! As a newbie working on my first Kibler kit, this video was excellent reference material to give me the confidence to work up my Woodsrunner stock this coming week - I'm looking forward to more videos on the Woodsrunner builds.  A video that describes options for finishing the lock would be most helpful - I'm reluctant to attempt polishing the lock without a better understanding of the process, and I have not uncovered any discussion of lock finishing on Woodsrunner kits in ALR forums.

Thanks!

Craig

Craig, there are lots of good threads on here about how to polish a lock. I have a Woodsrunner. I haven’t polished mine yet but the lock doesn’t look like it will require a lot of work, but the process would be the same as any other. Also, I think there is a video on Kibler’s You Tube channel on lock disassembly.
