50 caliber utility gun
« on: May 19, 2023, 12:06:14 AM »
Recently finished this basic smooth rifle, I wanted to make something plain, but with a small amount of simple flair. It's built on a grade 3 curly stock, has a straight 50 caliber smooth barrel, germanic lock, and some nickle silver hardware. I elected to add a simple pivoting batch box on it to add a bit more.

Very nice, functionality as it's best. Not sure about the sharp comb, though. Rough on the cheek?

Thank you very much! As for the comb, I tend to prefer a shaper one, but I make olup for it by leaving material on the cheek peice,  instead it being hollowed it slopes out and upwards into the comb, if that makes sense? So the sharp edge doesn't actually contact the cheek!

I see you are saling this piece at $1K USD. That’s truly a bargain price for the work I’m seeing. I’d price it twice that.
