I ordered this rifle in October Last year and received it the end of last month. This my first attempt at a flintlock and my second kit rifle, My first was an Investarms Bridger Haken with percussion ignition. IUSED tannic acid with iron nitrate for staining and true and true varnish oil for finish. I ran into a problem when I took the barrel and lock for engraving and ended up having to replace a broken sear. I am pleased with the outcome of the finish. You can see what curl these is in the plane maple, but it doesn't overwhelm the overall appearance. I'm an old man not in the greatest of health so I think my hunting days are over. There are plenty of places to shoot here in Las Vegas ans I plan to take full advantage of them.
I only added a hunting knife to my photo as it is an heirloom form my dad who brought it back from Alaska in 1952, and passed it on to me.
It seems My dad's knife didn't fit in the photo.
