  what the difference between laurel Mountain Forge browning and homer dangler browning? can they both be used together?

 I just make it a policy not to mix chemical compounds that I’m not positive of the composition of. I’m too old for surprises these days.

I agree with Hungry Horse, subtle differences between the 2 soloutions may or may not be compatible. I've never used Dangler but I'm a fan of the Laurel Mountain browning.

I have made my own in the past ( George Schoyen’s formula) when I was still a working pharmacist in some really old time small town drugstores..  I have been using LMF for a
number of years  and am extremely pleased with the consistent results ( I use a Bivins style browning box.)
I,have tried others, but could not get the consistent , deep brown that I can get with the LMF.    Note……prep of the parts must be thorough……no residual oils ( including greasy finger residues !!!).  Handle with clean paper towels .
