That voice in my head spoke to me   

The barrel is Getz 48" swamped marked #900 .54 1/56

The bore is perfect, and rifle has been shot very little.

I’m looking at my book. Looks like a match to me. That’s a hard gun to duplicate especially in the contemporary world.

From what I can see it’s right up there with Taylor’s build of that gun, which is saying something indeed.

Thanks for that great compliment Rich...any time my name is mentioned in the same sentence as one of these great respected old makers, is a huge thing to me.  Jerry's rifle looks really nice - this original rifle is certainly worthy of careful study and copying.
