Last I looked our squirrel season opened in August. It's way to hot and humid for me to hunt squirrels then but the biggest problem is that time of the year they all have "wolves", that's what my grand dad called them. They are the larvae of somekind of fly and they look pretty gross.
I wait until we have a few good frosts before I go after bushytails.
But those are some fat ones aren't they?
