Hoping others might have a lead on this. Wondering if the George Robinson gun survives.
Capt George Robinson served in the Cumberland County PA militia between the 1750s and 1770s, Fort Robinson was built on his lands, and Robinson served in the Revolution - as late as the 20th century a descendant of his (Thomas Hastings Robinson) in Pennsylvania writing a history of the region mentioned that he still had the “Robinson’s gun” in his possession. I’d love to know if anyone is aware of its existence and whether it’s still known.
Not 100% sure it’s a rifle, but pretty sure it is.
