Would this cherrry slab work for a stock?. Other than the curl it looks straight grained. Concerned about grain in wrist area.

That would work fine. Angle the pattern somewhat on the blank to get better flow in the wrist.

If deep enough, proper angling the blank will help through the wrist.

Thanks guys! I asked the guy how much he wanted for it . He said $1200 in the city, $300 local. 20”x12’

Jump on it, 4 or 5 stock blanks in that slab.

Beautiful piece of wood. And Eric is correct, quite a few stocks sitting there. Hope you are "local"!
