Pocket Horn
« on: November 30, 2023, 05:41:34 PM »
This is a copy of an original that was at the CLA show. It is 8" tip to tip and 10" around outside curve. The base is 2" in diameter. This horn has three compartments. The main compartment is 6" and stores powder. At the base of the horn are two compartments 2" in length;one for round ball and the other for percussion caps. A horn disc rotates to access the base compartments. I thought it was a clever design.  Just slip the horn in your coat with some patches and ready for a day hunt.

Ron, the nicest part is that the design is based on an original... very clever, practical and cool.

Very cool. That reminds me of the three-way pocket flasks that have spots for caps, balls, and powder. What keeps the cover from rotating and allowing your caps and balls to spill into your pocket? I really like the idea of that versus carrying a cap tin, bag of balls, and a horn.

The screw into the butt can be adjusted to tighten the horn cap

Nice work. Don’t the caps and balls rattle around in there?
