Got this gun from my father-in-law any guesses on what it is?

We divided up guns from my father-in-laws estate and this was one of my picks. It has a smooth bore and measures approx. .595 and the barrel length is approx. 38"
I'm not sure if its even an antique?
Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like a half stocked hunting rifle (double set triggers, etc.) which has had a British shotgun barrel installed.
