Bridger Mtn Men shoot
« on: February 08, 2024, 07:52:37 PM »
January match was held at Bruce’s place. Road to the “summer range” is problematical in winter.

The animal targets are either retired to Dennis’ digs or out at the summer range.
It was a pretty nice day though a little windy.
Some shooters goofed, myself in more ways than one, or did not finish the whole course.

1. Wes————————18
2. Bruce———————17
3. Dan————————14
4. Pat————————-13
5. Dennis——————-13
6. Kevin———————12
7. Dean———————-10
8. Vance———————8
9. Mike———————-7

A couple of “regulars” did not attend, but it is winter time.
Vance and Pat were new shooters. Vance had been to one of the matches some time back at the “old range” West of Bozman. Pat came over the divide from Butte.
Wes seems to be the tough shooter of the day in more than one way shooting the match in “summer” mocassins.
This brought about a discussion at lunch of Osborne Russell” putting his frozen feet in snow to “draw out the frost” and some other topics in what Dennis called the “Rocky Mountain College”.
The matches are held South of Whitehall in the foothills of the Continental Divide. Bruce has a wonderful view of the Jefferson River Valley. The “summer” range is a little South of the Winter range and more secluded.
If you live in Montana within driving distance we would love to see you. Especially from Butte, I KNOW there were more ML shooters over there. If you would like to get on the call list contact Mike at 406 570 9523
