As an aside, if anyone knows where to find a photo of the two fencing figures on the Vaughn horn illustrated in the first article there, I'd appreciate knowing. The figure on the right might be an attempt to illustrate a particular guard from early British backsword (often labelled as Highland broadsword for marketing purposes, both then and now!), which gives a clue to what fencing styles made it across the pond.
