Msblacksmith,
Here's a start.  Steve Bookout (Bookie) has a DVD on the subject and book on making a rifler.  His knowledge is from years of boring and rifling barrels.  He's retired now but this was/is his passions work.

Here's the book on building a rifler.

That link took me to a lathe--not a boring machine or rifling bench. Did I miss something?

David,
Are you one of the guys that skived my .375 smoothie barrel at the last Deer/Turkey Expo?  If so, know that it's tightened the groups up considerably.
Many thanks.

Skiving is a term commonly used in the cold drawn steel tube industry to remove chatter marks (bad tool setup) on the I.D. surface.
My barrel had osillations, another phenoenon found in seamless tube, created in the piercing stage.
The thing shot ~3" patterns at 25 yds., now shoots ~<1", sometimes cloverleafs.
The original intent was for your group to rifle this barrel but we found the defect and removed them
Life is good.

Don't know if your still looking or if this helps, but i stumbled across this PDF a little while back, havent gotten around to thoroughly reading it but seems like it might be helpful for a rifling machine. one site that has it is as follows

Msblacksmith, send me some postage money and I'll send you a CD of photos of my reaming/boreing bench.  Other folks have used it to build as far away as Taiwan and Norway.  I am in the process of writing a "how to" book on building the rascal and those photos will be included.   Cheers, Bookie
