Runar, is the stock the 1807 model, but the lock, 1847?
Appears to be sound enough, from the outside. What calibre please?
The rate of twist might be interesting as well as the type of crown.

That is a good looking rifle. Looks like it would be a great stalking rifle.

Thank you guys! Rifle started as a flintlock in 1807, converted to percussion pillar breach in 1847. Later the pillar , bajonetfeste
remowed and made for hunting. So I remowe the breach plug, percniple and cleaning screew and mount with copaslip. New nipple for musket caps made.

Runar, lock looks great. What kind of trigger pull do you get with it. I see that full cock does not have a very deep engagement. The sear itself does not have a really sharp nose. Seems that it would give you a nice release.

It’s so interesting to see the various guns you work on and restore!
This one is really interesting. The hammer inside the lockplate looks very simple and strong. But I can’t imagine how much dirt and grime gets inside. Is there a big opening between the hammer and stock where the hammer travels?

Hi all! Nice rear sights, the rifle is test fired with light loud. 40grs PP Wano, 60" RB in a 0,32" JT path and offhand standing ca 40m the owner will find a much better load

Really like those sights Runar.
40 grains is a puny load for such a big ball. Of course if it has a fast twist like one turn in the length of the barrel then it may be adequate.
Congratulations on a fine restoration!
